I can honestly say this has to have been the best place we have stayed for a vacation. The cabin is absolutly beautiful.The pictures do not do justice for it.It is close to everything,a very short drive.Oh the view is awsome.I just wish we had the extra time to stay and not leave the cabin for a couple days. It was very clean and neat. The service was great...Jeff has a great sense of humor,he had to to put up with a bunch of "old ladies". He was most helpful and such a nice person. Will defintely be back as soon as can and many of our friends say the same. Thanks for a lovely vacation....Mary Ann

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice! The location was wonderful, convenient to shopping, restaurants and much more! Jeff was a pleasure to work with and made our vacation very easy to plan! I would recommend this cabin a hundred times over! My husband and I are already talking about going back and taking our kids! We had such a wonderful time at your cabin! It was the perfect spot for our girl's getaway. It was so cozy and had just what we needed. We had a lot of fun in the game room, so many different activities. The hot tub was so nice and the fire places upstairs and down made the perfect setting with the snow outside. My husband & I stayed here Valentines week. The view was breath taking. The cabin was very updated & very clean.The game room was entertaining & the hot tub was in the perfect spot on the top deck over looking the mountains. It was so quite up there.The stores were a couple of miles down the road which you would never guess because of how quite it is. We look forward to another stay before next year @ the same cabin but on this trip we are taking our family there is plenty to keep all of us busy & relaxed at the same time......Albert & Tara Lundin, Green Cove Springs, Florida

We have two small children and the proximity to the park was fantastic. The cabin was comfortable for a family of four with enough space for everyone. The loft bedroom was great for us adults to be able to enjoy ourselves after the kids went to bed. The location was wonderful due to the closeness of Dollywood and being right off the highway we were able to avoid the main drag and the traffic associated with that. We have stayed at various resorts over the years and highly recommend this one as it is well maintained and easily accessed. We have nothing bad to say about the cabin and hope to visit again soon! ... North Carolina Family

I have to say this cabin was everything we expected and more. It was very clean and up to date. Tons of things for the kids to as well as many ways for the parents to relax. We enjoyed the game room and the convience of a full kitchen and laundry. The 3 D moviex and Ps3 were also amazing. I would definately rent again and pass the infomation onto anyone traveling in the area.
Recommended for: Age 55+ , Adventure Seekers , Families with Young Children , Romantic Getaway

Comments: This was a very nice cabin. My wife and I along with our children had a great time. The kids really enjoyed the 3d animated movies. I am not really crazy about staying in a resort area but this was actually a very nice resort. The cabin was well maintained, very clean and neat and very close in proximity to Pigeon Forge strip and Dollywood and less than 15 minutes from Gatlinburg. We would love and are very likely to book again our next vacation.

My wife and I went down to stay at the "Bear Neccessities" for a four day weekend. Our visit was great! The cabin was in perfect condition and we really enjoyed the extras. The 3D TV and pool table were our favorite ones. The location is perfect for getting out and enjoying what Pigeon Forge has to offer but far enough away to not be in the middle of the mess. The views from the cabin are to die for. Jeff was awesome to work with and we are already talking about when we could go back. Thanks for the great long weekend! .

GREAT STAY! GREAT ANNIVERSARY TRIP!!
Date of Stay September 23, 2011 Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your cabin. The views are beautiful!! The hot tub wonderful! And I loved relaxing in the heart shaped jacuzzi. We enjoyed our 23rd anniversary trip. The 3D tv was also wonderful!!! It ended up being cool at night while we were there so we even got to enjoy the fire place. So much to do at the cabin, you don't feel like you have to leave.....but we came in the jeep so we did go enjoy beautiful rides thru the mountains!! Thanks for sharing!!! We will be back and bring the kids!!

We stayed for a week in September and had a wonderful time. The views are spectacular and the cabin feels like home. The whole family enjoyed played air hockey and pool. It was such a relaxing break and we can't wait to come again. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin!,

Our stay at Bear Necessities was priceless! We were blessed with a beautiful Fall weekend and weather! The views from your cabin cannot be described. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. Close to Pigeon Forge and only a few minutes to actual downtown Gatlinburg. Thank you for your hospitality and I was surprised that no one with children has mentioned the ENORMOUS playground right across the street from this cabin (literally, right across the street), when the kids did want to leave the cabin, they simply wanted to run across the street and play! We will return Mr. Post, thanks again.

Excellent cabin...5 stars!Date of Stay November 11, 2011 We love StarrCrest resort but not the prices of renting through the rental companies. We found this cabin and WOW...what a find! Although it says 1 bedroom, there is a very nice, seperate living area with a king bed upstairs. We travelled with 2 kids and it worked out perfect. Plenty of room for everyone. I think 2 couples could even share this cabin and still have privacy and plenty of living space. It was like new inside and out. We remembered our stroller, but were pleasantly surprised to find a stroller at the cabin also. And the proximity to the playground was PERFECT. They also provide an informational binder in the cabin that has all the local restuarants menus and information. We'll definitely be back to this cabin.
